Mrs. Larissa Feramisco
was the sixth grade homeroom teacher at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School from
2000 through June, 2008. In 2008, Mrs. Feramisco switched to the third grade,
which is the grade she always dreamed of teaching. Mrs. Feramisco was born and
raised in the Santa Barbara area. In May 2000 she graduated from the University
of Redlands in Redlands, California, with a major in Liberal Studies, an
emphasis in social studies, and a California Multiple Subject Teaching
Credential. In December of 2003 Mrs. Feramisco earned her Master of Arts Degree
in Education from Azusa Pacific University. Mrs. Feramisco and her husband were blessed with the birth of their son in the summer of 2011.
Miss Teresa (Teri) Leon
Miss Leon
was born and raised in Santa Barbara.Her elementary school years were spent at Our Lady of Guadalupe
School.She then attended Santa
Barbara Junior High and Santa Barbara High School.Miss Leon received an associates’ degree in psychology at Santa
Barbara City College and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies
(education track with an emphasis in psychology) and Multiple Subject Teaching
Credential at California State University at Northridge.In the midst of her sixteen years
teaching at Notre Dame School, she attended Antioch University and received a
Masters’ Degree in psychology. After taking a sabbatical year from teaching,
Miss Leon returned to the classroom as a substitute teacher and has enjoyed the
time spent here at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School.
