Hello third graders! I miss you already! Here are some things to work on this first week. Remember that your log-in information for our websites are in the front of your homework planner.
If you want more to do, look under the "Just for Fun" menu at the top of the page. You may email me with any questions or message me on Class Dojo.
Day 1-March 16
1. Start a reading journal using a few pieces of paper or on the computer. You will read for 20 minutes and then write at least a 5 sentence summary on what you read during that time. Start your summary with the title and author of the book you are summarizing. You will just skip a line and continue on this page tomorrow. Feel free to design a cover for this journal if you'd like to get artistic. You can keep adding pages when you run out of room.
2. You will log onto StudiesWeekly.com and read 2 of the articles from Week 14. (The articles are listed on the left side menu.) Watch the videos and answer the quiz questions for the articles you read.
3. Complete a highlighted assignment from IXL.com.
4. Make a card for a resident at an elderly home. During this time, the elderly in homes are not able to have visitors. It will really brighten their day to receive a bright, cheery card from someone, letting them know you care. Please drop these off in the basket outside the 5th grade classroom by Thursday (March 19th). They will be given to Eugene and Cora's mom for delivery.
